Debris flow is a kind of natural disasters phenomenon which is often happen in themountainous area. Debris flow is also a kind of active modern power geomorphologicprocesses, the product of very serious soil and water loss, and it’s a kind of high con-centration, wide gradation, nature of the big changes multiphase of inhomogeneous flu-id. The human struggle with the debris flow disaster can be said to be innate, as humanactivity extends to mountain further, the problem of debris flow is more and more out-standing and sharp, human research and study on debris flow is developed too. Themain contents of research and study on debris flow are the debris flow prediction, debrisflow control division, debris flow disaster risk assessment, debris flow disaster man-agement, debris flow fluid model research and debris flow numerical analysis researchand so on.Debris flow numerical analysis generally is based on the finite volume method isestablished the CFD software related model of research, this article studies the maincontent and the results are as follows:1) Introduced the debris flow of numerical analysis theory foundation is computa-tional fluid dynamics related theory and using computational fluid dynamics theorythrough the numerical analysis to solve common flow field data methodology andprocess, and based on the computational fluid dynamics of debris flow one dimensional,two dimensional, three dimensional model and debris flow of multiphase flow simula-tion method.2) Discussed and analyzed the debris flow classification by rheological characteris-tics and current research on rheological model, emphatically introduces the suitable forgeneral debris flow of Bingham fluid analysis model. Then it introduces the debris flownumerical simulation of mesh, mesh quality evaluation, solving the control parametersetting method of debris flow numerical analysis and some other key issues.3) Large debris flow disasters had happened twice in Zoumaling valley of Mianzhucity of Sichuan Province in2009and2010and take its prevention and treatment workfor an example. The numerical simulation fields of flow velocity, pressure and muddepth of the Zoumaling debris flow had been computed in this paper, by using finitevolume method software CFX based on the CFD. The Bingham fluid was chosen as theconstitutive model of this debris flow. The debris flow geometry model was3D model. The initial conditions, boundary conditions, control equations and parameters were de-termined and adjusted by the actual conditions and analyses. The flow field data ob-tained from numerical simulation were substituted into finite element software ANSYS.Then the calculations of fluid-solid coupling action between the flow and dam had beendone. All these results of simulations and analyses could be the guide and suggestion forthe design and construction of prevention engineering of Zoumaling debris flow.
