Water is the source of Life. The starvation of fresh water resource has restrict thedevelopment of our society, As an effective means of protecting and creating the freshwater, sea water desalination has been applied in practice widely. After nearly 40 years’development, the SWRO has made a breakthrough in the key techniques such asreverse osmosis membrane, high-pressure pump, and energy recovery and so on, it hasbeen recognized as the main trend of sea water desalination in the future. At present,SWRO in domestic mainly apply the method of using many sets of single unit watercoalition and distributed monitoring management, as a result, the whole system is oflow automation level and has difficulties in resources optimizing integration, throughthe integrated management and control of large-scale production, the cost of water isexpected to further reduce.Aiming at LiuHeng island’s sea water desalination engineering with the dailyproduction of 10 DWT in ZhouShan city, we develop a remote monitoring system forsea water desalination engineering, realize the management of whole unit and form acomplete set of advanced techniques, such as fault diagnosis and Optimal Dispatching.Consequently, we can ensure the system run efficiently, stably and economically.Explained the purpose of this research and the significance of the system,discussed in detail the development of desalination technology at home and abroad,defined the contents and the technical issue of the research.Analyzed and compared the three of the current mainstream method ofdesalination: low-temperature multi-effect distillation、multi-stage flash distillation、reverse osmosis, and introduced in detail the processes and structures for three dilute:Reverse osmosis pretreatment, reverse osmosis, and product water. Determine theneeds of the remote monitoring system.We have given a scheme that remote monitoring system consists of localcentralized monitoring system and remote centralized monitoring system. And wedefined that the local centralized monitoring system made up of three parts: thecentralized monitoring system, the fault diagnosis system and the optimizationscheduling system.Object-oriented thought, SOA design concept and implementation method ofSoftware Engineering are used in each module of the remote monitoring system. The software system, which is based on .NET platform and used C# and SqlServer2005, isdeveloped with industrial communication standard with OPC and distributedcommunication technology with WCF. Remote monitoring management of seawaterdesalination units, fault diagnosis, and optimal operation are achieved.We give a serious test of the monitoring system with code inspection, unit test,function testing, and system test. The results conclude that the system implementslarge scale reverse osmosis desalination project management of remote monitoring,fault diagnosis and optimal scheduling function, and rans stably.
