With the development of Ultra-Violet (UV) technology, several technologies, such as UV communication, UV guidance and UV warning, have been important hot topics in military affairs. One of the key step is to study UV atmosphere transmission in upper space. There is a large difference between atmospheres around 30Km to 80 Km with that inground proximity, therefore it is urgent to simulate UV atmosphere transmission in this region. From atmosphere optical transmission theory, the goal of this thesis is to study the scattering properties of UV band by different particles. According to the distribution of particle spectrum density, we calculated a series of parameters, such as extinction coefficient et al., and our results agree well with the values of references. In this thesis, discrete coordinate method is used to build UV optical transmission model with 30Km to 80Km. UV radiation distribution is determined when a vertical incident light is from 30Km by using 16 flux method. Finally, MODTRAN package is used to simulated those corresponding parameters, which agree well with our simulated results.
