The physical principles on which NMR logging is based are nuclear magneticresonance principles. NMR logging gets rock physical information of reservoirs, bymeasuring the NMR phenomena of hydrogen nucleus in formation fluids. It can provide agreat of formation information at the same time, such as: pore-size distribution, totalporosity, effective porosity, clay-bound water, capillary-bound water, permeability, etc, which is mineralogy-independent and not influenced by mud and mud cake. With the greatamount information, the evaluating accuracy of complex-lithology oil and/or gas reservoirsis greatly improved, which makes NMR logging technique become one of the mostimportant tools in solving prombles of complex-lithology oil and/or gas reservoirsevaluating.By now, in China MRILPrime is introduced more among many NMR logging tools, and its application effect is good. But there is no mature MRILPrime data processingsoftware in China. Instead we have to use DPP software which is from Halliburton toprocess data. Although, foreign NMR data processing software is complete functions, andhas fast processing speed, its introduction expenses, training expenses and upgradeexpenses are very high. Moreover it limits the number of the permission user, which goesagainst to the extension of NMR logging in our country. Also there is no source progromwith the introducted software, so it is difficlt for secondary development, which bringprombles to add interpretation models that accord with the geological condation in ourcountry. The treatment process of MRILPrime data includes: raw data preprocessing, inversion of T2distributions in time domain, conversion from time domain to depth domain, and reservoir parameters estimation. There are many papers that related. But most of themwrite little about the details. Also the algorithm in these papers has a lack of someimportant details that should be paid attention to when applys to practical datas, and papersin which the algorithm is applied to practical datas are very few.Forthermore, although the application range of NMR logging in our country is large, its application effect in reservoir evaluation of Daqing oil field is not quite clear. By now, a few of papers that are related to application of NMR logging in Daqing oil field, but thereservoir types that involved are still less. If summarize the application effect ofMRILPime data in different conditions and different fluid property reservoirs, theconclusion can help to recognize the application range of the MRILPrime. To solve the above prombles, in this paper we discuss in two parts. The first part is studyof data interpretation of MRILPrime logging. On the base of the study, the MRILPrimelogging data interpretion program will be compiled. The treatment effect of the programwill be closed to the level of the forgien software-DPP. In the the second part, I will applythe method that researched in the first part to the interpretion of practical NMR loggingdatas of Daqing oil field. Then the processing result will be compared to the localgeological datas, to analyze the application effect of NMR logging datas in differentconditions and different fluid property reservoirs, which will help to propose somereasonable suggestion for application of the new technique. After data collection, algorithm designing, progam compling, verification of thecorrectness of the progam, MRIL-Prime logging data processing of Daqing oil field, interpretation and evaluate to the representative reservoirs these six steps, I finally achievedthese following results: the processing results of the progam is consistant to that of DPPsoftware. The mean absolute error between porosities from the DIY progam and the DPPsoftware is less than0.2. Also the processing flow of the DIY progam is more simply thanDPP software. Then I interpreted NMR logging data of many wells from Daqing oil fielduse this progam. The comparison between the interpretation results and the test oil resultshows that the application effects of NMR logging in many kinds of reservoirs are good.
