Study On Occupant Evacuation Simulation In Building Fire Based On GIS Technology

With the rapid development of computer technology,research about occupant evacuation simulation has development better and better. Numerical simulation on building fire can greatly reduce the mount of the full-scale fire experiment which consume a lot of manpower, material and financial resources. Study on occupant evacuation simulation has become an inevitable trendency of safety evacuation research in building fire.By analyzing of domestic and foreign research achievements about occupant evacuation,this article introduces GIS into small-scale problems of occupant evacuation in fire science and try to find the key technology to apply GIS system into occupant evacuation simulation.In order to accomplish this target,the following research has been conducted:The set up and2d visualization of the rasterizing building model based on GIS technology;The generation and description of occupant model based on GIS techonlogy;Study on rational decision-making about occupant evacuayion. Definition of the discrete magnitude of time and spatial. Design and implement the strategy of evacuation.In the programming environment of Visual Studio2008,this system implementation have been employed by C#.NET technology and expand the functions in GIS system by ArcGIS Engin9.3software.Then Geodatabase which is facing the object database have been used to store and read data of the system to be developed. At last,With cellular automata and static field about occupant evacuation,this article builds occupant evacuation simulation based on GIS techonlogy.This article have applied this System to simulate occupant evacuation of different corridor width.Then, the simulated result are also compared with the simulated result based on FDS+Evac. The results showed that evacuation simulation based on GIS can really reflects the characteristics of occupant evacuation. The calculation data by this model is agree with that data based on FDS+Evac.It is proved that it is feasible to transpalnt the GIS system into occupant evacuation program.
