Laplacian mesh deformation mainly uses the discrete Laplacian operator, makes the3D model of the Cartesian coordinates into Laplacian coordinates. Because the traditional Cartesian coordinates can only represent the vertices of spatial position, while Laplacian coordinates is carrying a lot of local surface details, such as curvature and normal direction. This paper studies Laplacian mesh deformation algorithm, and introduces the algorithm realization based on VC platform. Note that the selection of the control points in the general Laplacian algorithm basically is through manual manner, in this paper, it is obtained by considering some information of the neighborhood of the deformation point, therefore can automatically get ideal control point. Finally the experiment results are discussed and analyzed, it shows that this is a feasible deformation method.
