Study On Plants Of Danxia Landform In Hunan And Jiangxi

Hunan, Jiangxi located in southern of Changjiang river, which at the north slope of Nanling Mountain, Belongs to subtropical monsoon climate. terrain high in the south and low in the north. Most of the Danxia landform distribute along with low altitude basins.Danxia landform has impoverished soil and poor converted water, because of water erosion and uninterrupted sloughing. Typical vegetation of Danxia landform compose of sclerophyll broadleaf species and other with drought endurance; Danxia mountains and gulches inlay each other, Complex microclimate, vegetation is always isolated or semi-isolated. Isolated habitat make many species shift distribution, and particular and special species famation.This paper is a preliminary study on the Danxia landform plant of Hunan and Jiangxi, the results are as follows:1. There are1033species of wild vascular plants belongs into545genera and175families. Among them,29families,54genera,100species are fern plants;147families,491genera,939species are seed plants. Compare with other area, special groups has higher proportion as:Sinopteridaceae, Gesneriaceae, Labiatae.2. A list of particular species of Danxia landform has been given, include11species:Adiantum juxtapositum, Ranunculus xinningensis, Saxifraga mengtzeana, Didymocarpus heucherifoliu, Didymocarpus yuenlingensis, Chirita langshanica Chirita melanandra, Chiritopsis danxiaensis, Chiritopsis yongxingensis, Didymocarpus salviiflorus, Firmiana danxiaensis. Primulina tabacum has be collectd in danxia landform which is recorded distributing in limestone only.3. The Danxia landform plants of Hunan and Jiangxi are characterized by abundant xerophytes and drought-enduring strategy diversity, plenty of disjunction distributed species, original wetland plants, vine plants prosperous.4. The vegetation of Danxia land form could be divided into5basic vegetation types,11vegetation types,31formation groups. Danxia mountain elfin forest and Danxia vine shrubland are the particular vegetation types.5. Tow new species are collected:Chirita melanandra and Chiritopsis yongxingensis,5new recorded species,1new recorded genus of Chiritopsis are collected in Hunan;3new recorded species,1new recorded genus of Chiritopsis are collected in Jiangxi.
