Hilbert-Huang Transform (Hilbert-Huang transform, referred to as HHT) istime-frequency analysis method which deal with the nonlinear, non-stationary signals,First,signal is intrinsic mode decomposition (Empirical mode composition method,referred to as EMD), then,its decomposition component re-use the Hilbert transformand instantaneous frequency method to obtain the time-frequency spectrum ofsignal-Hilbert spectrum. However, most of the seismic signals are non-linear,non-stationary signals, Because of HHT time-frequency analysis ability, we put HHTtransform applied to seismic data processing. In particular, multiwave data haveconverted shear wave, and Converted waves and surface waves have many overlap infrequency band, a traditional denoising method have Difficult to reach the desiredresult. but,EMD is a multi-scale decomposition, at the same time,compared toWavelet transform, it is adaptive. in this paper, the advantages of the algorithm istime-frequency analysis,it’s be used applied to the analysis and processing of seismicdata, while HHT Transform have the multi-resolution and adaptive,so we can removenoise and take HHT spectrum analysis in the3D3C seismic data,which has lowsignal-to-noise ratio.Firstly, this paper research the HHT time-frequency analysis method, HHTtransform is adaptive to put the original signal decompose into a series of limitedIntrinsic mode function (Intrinsic mode function, hereinafter referred to as the IMF),each IMF component take Hilbert transform, and get meaningful instantaneousfrequency and the HHT spectrum, Secondly, the EMD decomposition is applied tonoise suppression in the multiwave, The main function is decomposition andreconstruction. This content includes removing the low frequency surface wave andrandom noise, In this paper, the model data and real seismic data were analyzed. Weall know that multi-wave data are constitute of converted shear wave components,more efficient conversion of waves and surface waves overlapping band. Finally, thecontent haves the HHT spectrum analysis of seismic data, compared to some of thedifferences of the HHT spectrum and FFT spectrum. we introduce the concept of instantaneous frequency in HHT spectrum, it’s better to reflect the time-frequencyseismic signals of part of information, so as to reflect the part of properties of thestrata.The results of this study show that the HHT has good frequency resolutioncapability, compared to traditional signal analysis methods, the multi-resolution andadaptive makes it easier to identify the noise on the seismic data denoising. Becauseof HHT spectrum analysis with time-frequency depicting ability, and the method isworthy of further investigation and research in seismic data analysis and processing ofthe application development space.
