Coal roof Stability is determined according to mechanic characteristics of rock mass stress distribution regularity, also a composite reflection of rock structure complexity and underground workings reconcile and accommodate.Rock structure occurrence in a certain geological environment, formed from the influence of discontinuous faces. Mechanic characteristics of rock mass are mattered with characteristics of rock, rock mass structural planes, Structure type and Storage environment so on. Rock mass structural planes are one of them which is broken rock mass integrity and Mechanical strength, but also controlled rock mass deformation and failure. The Litho logy and combination of coal roof are determined by the changes of sedimentary environment. Different sedimentary environment have different coal seam roof stability. Coal seam roof often Contains Coal line and carbonaceous mudstone, the roof may cause accident along its weak structural surface. Therefore, conducting research on Rock mass structure and Roof stability has important academic meaning and practical applied value.Luling coal mine located about20kilometers away in the southeast of Suzhou in Anhui. Is a big mine which belonged to huaibei coal mining group and its output is up to2,300,000tons. With the increasing of mining depth, mining pressure is also increasing, So coal-bed roof stability become more and more serious. This paper is based on Information processing, statistic and analysis, starting from the research area characteristics and combination of rock, analyzed the characteristic of sedimentary systems sedimentary fancies, Distribution characteristics of roof rock is summarized, Combined with the rock physical and mechanical properties parameter, Analysis of different sedimentary fancies of top rock mechanical characteristics, With the help of rock failure process analysis (RFPA), A numerical simulation of Coal mining roof caving combined feature and region of crack characteristic. Basis on the8coal seam top rock composition, structure and geologic structure, by using GIS Technology, Using the method of fuzzy evaluation, focused on comprehensive quantitative evaluation of8coal seam roof stability.Figure [66] table [44] reference [47]...
