What is knowledge?It is the belief that is recognized by collective public and given authority, and it’s the result of consultation among the people in a specific social context.How is knowledge produced? It’s manufactured from the laboratory. How to understand the truth? The key view is that there is Objective and eternal truth, that the truth is universal, and that it isn’t the property of this or that group because if it is, it will be ideological not scientific in nature.Bunge claims that pragmatism is the core of the sociology of science knowledge, though pragmatism is not available to science. SSK’s view-----the Science (including mathematics) and technology have an ideological content and even they have become the ideology of contemporary capitalism----is wrong, and it’s SSK’s confusion between science and ideology. |
