The view of knowledge, the "manufacturing" mode of knowledge and the truth that the strong program elucidated, all contain strong constructivism color. What is knowledge? It is the belief that is recognized by collective public and given authority, and it’s the result of consultation among the people in a specific social context. How is knowledge produced? It’s manufactured from the laboratory. How to understand the truth? Truth is not consistent with the facts, it’s a theory that could work and is linked to reality, also it is a rhetorical device.Bunge standing in the perspective of scientific realism, gave criticism to the above three.①The fact that knowledge content is influnced by its social context does not prove that the two are undistinguishable, and the statement that all science including purely mathematic is about society and contains social content is wrong.②As far as the social construction of scientific facts, Bunge believes it reflects the ignorance of outsiders of science; that it’s the confusion between facts and statements; and that it’s the neglect of the reality of nature; that it seems using constructing facts takes the place of finding facts."Reality is constituted in and through discourse" is actually hermeneutic version of idealism; sociologists of scientific knowledge areparadoxical anti-realist.③Bunge’s critique of the epistemological Relativism of SSK is around the discussion of truth. The key view is that there is Objective and eternal truth, that the truth is universal, and that it isn’t the property of this or that group because if it is, it will be ideological not scientific in nature.Bunge claims that pragmatism is the core of the sociology of science knowledge, though pragmatism is not available to science. SSK’s view-----the Science (including mathematics) and technology have an ideological content and even they have become the ideology of contemporary capitalism----is wrong, and it’s SSK’s confusion between science and ideology.
