The event of heavy metal pollution on people’s lives and safety hazard is more and more common, have gradually entered the public view. Phytoremediation as a technology is simple and easy popularity heavy metal repair treatment methods, popular and cutting-edge interdisciplinary research. Hunan province as a rich mine mining activities generate a large amount of tailings, they are mostly piling in open air, brought a series of questions. Such as plant pollution, the destruction of the surrounding landscape and water pollution. By comparison mining history, mineral scale, usage, and on the surrounding environment influence factor, this paper selects five tailed placer in Hunan Province, more representative of its surrounding dominant plants and soil pollution were studied. Through the investigation on five tail the placer surrounding vegetation and soil samples. We found a number of stress resistance of plants. Such as Ficus tikoua, Lespedeza cuneata,, Caesalpinia decapetala、Vitex negundo, Alternanthera philoxeroides, Imperata cylindrical and so on. Most of them settle in the tailings fringe and growth. Ficus tikoua can invasion in the center of the Lead and Zinc tail sand yard. Hengyang and Baoshan Pb content of more than three standards. Zn does not exceed the value of the three standards of the National Soil Environmental Quality Heavy, metals contents mostly in the value of the normal range. Mainly due to soil heavy metal content is low. Around the pollution index and risk index values, Baoshan are in a higher position, need to attract the attention of the relevant departments and governance. Zn does not exceed The value of the three standards of the National Soil Environmental Quality.The Lead and zinc tail sand yard in Huayuan, because of its important location--Adjacent to the highway and the river system,and have the highest pH value. Therefore, it is a focus of the study area. Tailing pools surrounding plants showed strong invasion. For example, under the inlets to Ficus tikoua from the edge of the library to the library invasion and growth, it can take root in the library. Soil heavy metal content of Cd is more than three standard values of the National Soil Environmental Quality. Sand samples Cd value than soil Cd value. Plant heavy metal content values were lower. Did not founded strong accumulation ability of plants. But those plants have strong ability to transfer the lead and zinc. Such as Conyza Canadensis, Rhus chinensis,Ficus tikoua,Sphaeranthus africanus,Imperata cylindrical, Lonicera japonica Thunb and so on.Research projects, hoping to help to solve some problems in the governance of the tailings repository, provide a valid reference to the ecological restoration of abandoned mineral and theoretical guidance, to contribute to improve the deteriorating environment.
