The Airborne LiDAR is a new type of remote sensing technology which is capable of obtaining the high-precision, high-density three-dimensional coordinates of the Earth’s surface automatically and rapidly. Airborne LiDAR is an active ground observation technology, based on aircraft, and also is a set of laser ranging techniques, dynamic GPS differential technology and dynamic high-precision attitude measurement. Airborne LiDAR system acquires the three-dimensional coordinate’s data of the measured object which is made up of a serious of uneven spatial distribution of discrete points cloud data. It is a research focus of how to data filtering nowadays at home and abroad and the existing filtering algorithms can’t adapt a variety of intricate terrain basically.The main contents of this study include expound the history and cueernt of airborne LiDAR system, and analy the feature of each part of air airborne LiDAR, the working principle of syetem and laser scanner is studied especially, analysis the error sources of system. Introduction the characteristics buy comparison of the airborne LiDAR system to the traditional photogrammetry. Then, further explore the system structure of airborne LiDAR system point cloud data and investigate characteristics, organization and standard format of the airborne LiDAR point cloud data. Then, we summarize and analyze the existing filtering algorithms which mainly are classified to two kinds:based on the traditional aerial image classification principle; based on the principle of height mutant。The existing filtering algorithms vast majority are based on the principle of height mutant,based on the principle we propose a filtering algorithms based on the curvature of the LiDAR section point cloud data, and Based on the TIN eliminating non ground points to generate DEM filtering algorithms then feasibiloties demonstrated by experiments...
