The Song dynasty has experienced more than300years in the history of China. In themeantime, technology and culture has made great development, math achievement is the mostprominent. Mathematics achievements and mathematics education is closely related to thereason of the prosperity and development of mathematics education, because education policy,socio-economic, cultural life and scientific and technical activities.Mathematics and mathematics education has a unique meaning in ancient China.Mathematics is a cultural, education is a heritage, mathematics education is due to thegeneration of mathematical, mathematics because of the development of mathematicseducation to develop faster. The development of the development of mathematics andmathematics education are interdependent in the Song Dynasty, Song Dynasty of thedevelopment of mathematics education requires the development of mathematics itself andmathematics education to promote the development of mathematics better to move forward.In the Song Dynasty, mathematics education is handled by the official, private schoolsand the College of Education for the auxiliary, in addition, children’s education, religious andsocial life are more or less contains the mathematics education. There are many reasons to theprosperity of mathematics and mathematics education in the Song Dynasty. Mainly fourreasons: the former is the solid foundation laid by the development of mathematicseducation,Social, economic, political and cultural activities on the direct promotion ofmathematics education indirectly promote their own development and improve themanagement of mathematics education, and mathematics education, the emphasis onmathematicsAlthough the mathematics has made great achievements in the Song Dynasty,mathematics education is the rapid decline of the Song Dynasty, the reasons for the decline isworth pondering.
