Ground water is an important natural resource, it is main source of industry,agriculture and living water,and sometimes even is the only source of water supply.Therefore,groundwater management is vital.Artificial observations of groundwater is not an easy thing, and we must do by means of solving groundwater flow model and solute transport model to find a satisfactory answer to understand the situation of groundwater.We mainly use the numerical simulation method to slove the groundwater model. Based on discrete idea, the pending research aquifer will be divided into several small zones to solve mathematical model. After that, It is possible to forecast and analysis groundwater level.In this thesis, the Delaunay triangulation and finite element method are used to solve the groundwater model.Mathematical model of groundwater is numerical simulated on the computer, and human-computer interaction can be achieved by visualization of the Windows operating platform,which provides great convenience for geological mapping professionals.The main results are summarized as follows:(1) In this article, we have introduced the current situation and research direction of groundwater simulation software in global. The modules of this software and key technology are also described.(2) Researched the meshing algorithm and its implementation steps.In accordance with its advantages and disadvantages and combined with traditional Delaunay triangulation algorithm, we put forward the improved planar point set the Delaunay triangulation algorithm,which uses a density method to generate the hash point,making the hash points more evenly,and resulting triangle mesh shape better,thus improving the accuracy of the solution.(3) The paper researches how to construct finite element model based on the Delaunay triangulation, and highlighting the simulation methods and steps of the Galerkin finite element algorithm. At the same time, we achieve a numerical simulation with the constructed model and give the simulation steps and test results, which show this method is reasonable.
