Wavelength calibration is used to determine the function of pixel ofdispersion direction on CCD camera and their corresponding wavelength.The wavelength of certain pixel can be identified by lighting on CCDcamera using light with special wavelength. And then it will be used as aruler to identify the wavelength of other pixels which needs to beanalyzed. Wavelength calibration is crucial to the observation of spectrumof target body and the gain of their radial velocity. Besides, the accuracyof wavelength calibration has a great influence on data reduction.LAMOST successfully broke through the technical nut thattelescope with large caliber is not able to obtain large field of view. As themost advanced astronomical observation equipment in the world now, ithas a very mature system to observe, record and process dataautomatically, which ensure the scientific work quickly and efficiently.This paper makes a deep research on its data processing system andwavelength calibration based on profound description of its research significance, spectral analysis and the data processing flow. The mainwork is reflected in the following three aspects:(1)Firstly, the wavelength of slit spectroscopy is calibratedmanually, while massive spectroscopy of LAMOST is calibrated withpolynomial fitting method. And then mass spectral calibration errors wereanalyzed in detail.(2)Secondly, the concept and the principle related with the simplegenetic algorithm are described and the improved genetic algorithm isderived from the basic rules Then, the traditional method of wavelengthcalibration is introduced and its nature is revealed from the algorithmlevel—multi parameters optimization. In view of the nature of theproblem,the improved genetic algorithm is applied to the optimization ofcalibration, and its superiority is verified by the degree of similarity andrunning time.(3)Lastly,the system design, model design, database design,system error design and corresponding counter measures of the DataHandling System are introduced. Besides, the system is tested and thestability of on-line system is verified theoretically and practically.
