In this paper, based on previous studies and regional geological data, core data, microscopic flakes information, conventional core material test data, logging data of the initial analysis; in the Upper Paleozoic of Ordos Basin coal seams and shale deposition Exhibition cloth on the basis of preliminary analysis, a preliminary study of the types of cracks, porosity, permeability and containing gas. Main understanding obtained as follows:1Widespread development of cracks in the Ordos Basin, the Upper Paleozoic coal seams and shale, including parallel joints in the low-angle oblique slit and vertical joints in.2.Ordos Upper Paleozoic no cracks in coal seams and shale porosity and an average of1.34%; penetration average of0.045685×10-3μm2; porosity containing crack an average of1.56%, permeability is an average of268.89×10μm2. Cracks of coal seams and shale porosity contribution of about14.1%, but its penetration great contribution to the development of cracks in the coal seam and shale permeability is about6000times the development of cracks.3.Upper Paleozoic of Ordos Basin coal seams and shale pore gas has a close relationship. Value of the total hydrocarbon gas measurement of coal and rock is generally higher, the maximum value of16.67%, the minimum value of1.55%, with an average of about6.7%; shale gas measured value of the total hydrocarbon as a whole compared to coal and rock is low, clear differences between the high and low The maximum value of49.435percent, the lowest value of0.0023%, an average of about1.64%. Gas measured value is higher at the seams and shale often the development of cracks. L3well, S217well and S329well perforation gas production conditions further confirmed the coal seams and shale section containing cracks have a certain amount of gas production.
