Weathered rock slopes often happen to failure because of lithology, geological structure, underground water and human activities etc, which led to increase of investment, time extension and threat the life or property safe. Based on investigation data of the landslide failure mode of slopes and slope stability analysis, suggestion about optimized block structure relevantly and design method were put forward. The factors influenced rock slope stability、the types of rock slope failture and stability calculation method were discussed comprehensively in the paper. The main block structure and vegetation restoration technology were analysed and summarized its characterices and applicable conditions, which was a reference for selecting design model.The classification on the Meihe Highway slope and evaluation of the stability author were given. Under the statistical analysis of stability of various kinds of slope, the paper improved that lithological character, weathering level and broken level had a strong impact on stability of slope. The anchor cable frame to timber the right slope of Sanduan Ridge Tunnel was chosen.On the basis of levels of slope stability analysis, by the most unfavorable sliding surface superimposition method, found the levels of slope reinforcement after the most adverse sliding surface gradually to the deep extension, but the slope safety coefficient increased regularity. Forward slope arc transition section use the frame beam strengthening, frame vertical rib desirable slope bottom point according to a circular radial arrangement.Selection of slide shear strength index and thrust calculation method were also discussed for analysing Tanping’s landslide supporting design in the paper.Through combined design method of retained structure,which was composed of anchor cable ground beam and anchor anti-slide pile, with Monitored data, the measure of retained structure produced the obvious effect, and that could be used as a reference for similar projects.
