Comprehensive Technology Research And Application Effect Of Electromagnetic Method

According to the mineral resources exploration and development direction, thispaper put forward with the integrated electromagnetic method which consists ofControlled Source Audio–frequency Magnetotelluric and transient electromagneticmethod aimed to achieve understanding, deep underground orebody distributionfeatures of apparent resistivity so as to guide the purpose of mineral exploration.Firstly, this paper analyzed the data collection, data processing and data interpretationof such links of Controlled Source Audio–frequency Magnetotelluric and transientelectromagnetic method, at the same time, elaborated in detail on the focus of thefield work, data processing and data interpretation. Then, this paper summarizes theadvantages of the integrated electromagnetic technique and introduces integratedelectromagnetic method for the work area with the specific geological andgeophysical characteristics. Through the integrated electromagnetic methodtechnology research for work area, this paper got apparent resistivity contour (plan orprofile) of the area, combined with the geological data and physical properties data ofthe area, and interpreted the processed results. Drilling results showed that apparentresistivity anomaly results of the integrated electromagnetic method, consistent withthe actual geological features. Finally, this paper draws a conclusion that thefollowing points:1. in mineral exploration, comprehensive electromagnetic methodis an effective exploration method;2. the exploration depth of the Integratedelectromagnetic method is huge, and this method has great potential in looking forthe deep mineral;3. Integrated electromagnetic technology can not only understandthe macroscopical distribution characteristics of the underground medium, but alsoto understand the specific characteristics of low resistivity anomaly;4. Integratedelectromagnetic method makes full use of Controlled Source Audio–frequencyMagnetotelluric and transient electromagnetic method, and make the two methods combinated perfectly;5. Although multiple abnormal interaction exist and Interacteach other, the comprehensive electromagnetic method can still guide the drillingoperations, and offered the direction for the mineral exploration.
