Atomic interferometer is widely used as an important instrument in the precision measurement experiments, which include the test of fundamental physics principles. Weak equivalence principle is the foundation of general relativity, and it attracts lots of attention from the physics society. Our research group plans to test the weak equivalent principle with atomic interferometer, and builds a12m atomic fountain interferometer system. In order to realize the test of the weak equivalence principle with the12m atomic fountain interferometer, we work on the technologies that could be used in the experiment. In this thesis, two pieces of work conducted by the author will be summarized:1. Simultaneous trapping of85Rb and87Rb in one magnetic-optical trap (MOT) is realized, and the dependence of the number of atoms in the two species MOT on cooling laser detuning and intensity is evaluated, and the experimental parameters are optimized. With the optimized parameters, we have realized a two-species MOT with about109atoms for each species of atoms.2. The time of flight signals of the12m atomic fountain are analyzed. The temperature and the number of atoms in the atom clouds in the atomic fountain are calculated. With these results, future improvements of the atomic fountain are discussed. This work has laid a solid foundation for testing the weak equivalence principle with atomic interferometer.
