With the rapid development of information Globalization, satellite navigation hasbecome an important positiing means that is used by military and civilian. Galileo navigationsystem is an civilian satellite navigation system, it uses new modulation system, the systemhas the ability of integrity monitoring, and signal system are designed to take full account ofnoise and anti-multipath interference. In addition, Galileo system and modulation frequencyare similar to Compass system. In the future, Galileo system will be an good choice forintegrated positioning with Compass. It is very necessary to research characteristics andprocessing of Galileo signal.Paper start from the modulation system of the most complex signal structure E5signal,based on BOC modulation and three kids of AltBOC modulation, and combined withmathematical simulation, the characteristics of subcarrier and spectral density performnace ofconstant envelope AltBOC, summarizing the AltBOC modulation characteristics. With theprinciple of the navigation data and spreading code generation method, combined withAltBOC modulation principle, Galileo E5signal is generated.In E5signal capturing phase, basing on FFT acquisiton algpirthm, paper usezero-padding approach to avoid the secondary codes causing a sign reversal in the correlationoperation over the integration interval. In additon, multiresolution acquisition engine canprovide hign resolution code delay and doppler shift, avoiding the critical phase betweenacquisiton and tracking. In E5signal tracking phase, paper uses Signal Band trackingtechnique and "Bnmp and Jump" tracking technique to solve the problem of ambiguity whichacused by multi-peak characteristics of it’s autocorrelation function.E5signal are simulated in ideal condition and in the presence of noise, these simulatedsignal are as input signals in capturing phase and tracking phase. Based on the analysis ofsimulation results to verify the selected methods that have used in acquisition phase andtracking phase, can be implemented. The simulation results also prove correctness ofmolulationde E5Signal. An important theoretical basis.is provide to the design approach ofAltBOC receiver.
