In recent fouty years, the stress wave theory has been paid more and more attention.Elastic wave as a kind of sress wave has broad prospects for application in the naturalexploration and technology development. For example, take advantage of the explosion ofelastic wave propagation, reflection and refraction to study the Earth`s internal structure,to identify the surface stratum distribution and exploration of petroleum resources.Thetheory of elastic waves in solid mechanics is currently very active front and it`s theimportant foundation of the research of mechanical properties of materials. Due to thedouble difficuilty of the elastic wave problems in physics and mathematics, in addition tothe simple case of one-dimensional linear problems, it`s generally difficult to obtainanalytical solution; A large number of more complex theoretical and practical problemonly by numerical computation to solve. The elastic wave studies mainly focused on civil engineering, so it`s theorydevelopment and practical application is relatively mature. For the initial stress of theelastic wave transmission problems, the theoretical foundation of the system has not yetbeen established and the study is still in groping stage. In this paper, we study thepropagation rules of the pretressed elastic wave in the material by means of finite method, the purpose is to explore the impact of the initial stress of elastic wave propagation inmaterials, and then through the elastic wave to identify the stress state of the material. In this paper, through the large finit element anaysis software ABAQUS to simulate,it is found that the elastic wave propagation law in stress state and then to verify thefeasibility of elastic waves in the filed of stress detection. Therefore, through theABAQUS software to simulate the propagation of the one-dimensiongal longitudinalwaves in a prestessed rod. By changing the prestressed force and cross section of the rodto obtain different stress state. Comparing the different state of the elastic wavepropageation situation to analysis the elastic wave propagationg rule in different strss state, and then verify the feasibility of the elastic wave in identify the stess state of the material.
