The tunnel project generally selects the straight-line distance, which shorten the spacedistance and overcome many obstacles in the topography and terrain, so it has strongapplicability. As a result, more and more tunnels are applied in various fields. However, for along time, in the most of the tunnel project construction, it is generally a lack of ecologicalconcepts and focusing on governance flooding but ignoring the impact on groundwaterenvironment of tunnel excavation. This paper relies on the water transfer project from Hanjiang River to Weihe River inShaanxi Province and collects the information on the regional geology, engineering geology, meteorological and hydrogeological, engineering design data (project layout, constructionmethods, etc.), construction materials of the water transfer project from Hanjiang River toWeihe River (North section of the Qinling Mountain). Comprehensive analysis of the relevantinformation, combined with the current research on water gushing of tunnel on domestic andinternational tunnel construction and the use of groundwater dynamics and numericalsimulation aspects of the theory, through the establishment of the numerical model ofthree-dimensional unsteady flow diversion f the water transfer project from Hanjiang River toWeihe River Crossing the northern section where the complete hydrogeological unit, theboundary conditions and calculation parameters were reasonably determined. Then, thediversion tunnel excavation on groundwater was analyzed by calculation model using thecomputer program. As the following:1. Three-dimensional unsteady flow numerical model was established. The reasonableinitial and boundary conditions was set. And the model was solved by using the USGSgroundwater dimensional finite difference calculation program MODFLOW2005.2. Combined with relevant information. firstly, the water gushing of tunnel during theconstruction period was calculated. Secondly, the water gushing of tunnel duration curvediagrams during the construction period were drawn. Then the different reason of paragraphsinflow was analyzed. Finally, the water gushing of tunnel construction was predicted for120a after the end of construction.3. On the basis of the model solution, we simulated the impact of tunnel excavation ingroundwater seepage field throughout the whole construction and predicted the impact oftunnel excavation in groundwater seepage field for100a after the end of construction.4. In contrast to the natural state of stable flow model calculations, we analyzed theimpact of water tunnel (north of Qinling) on the surface rivers (reservoirs) during theconstruction and predicted he impact of water tunnel (north of Qinling) on the surface rivers(reservoirs) for100a after the end of construction.5.We analysis the tunnel excavation on the groundwater environment on the impacts ofQinling Water Tunnel Project on groundwater runoff, the use of water in Industrial, agricultural and living, nature reserve and Heihe Reservoir water source.
