The rock avalanches located in canyon area generally havecharacteristics of happening suddenly and mighty wreck, cause seriousgeological disaster. Recent years, numerical simulation is widely used toanalysis landslide of high-speed and long run-out along with informationtechnology booming. Selected Yigong rock avalanche, Niumiangourockslide-debris flow and Guanling landslide as typical examples, simulateand analysis whole course of motion and characteristics of the three eventswith DAN-W program and DAN3D program. The main work of this thesisis as follow:1. According to Yigong rock avalanche, Niumiangou rockslide-debrisavalanche and Guanling landslide, establish an ideal model to discusseffect of topography to travel distance, velocity and duration.2. Introduce hydrogeological conditions and features of motion anddeposition. Establish Yigong and Niumiangou DAN-W models separately,to research variations of travel distance, velocity and volume under theeffect of erosion. Finally get the suitable rheology models and parameters, reappear process of motion of these two events, analysis variation anddistribution of velocity, and regular pattern of deposit.3. Summarize geological conditions and deposit features of Niu-miangou rockslide-debris avalanche. Establish Niumiangou DAN-Wmodel and DAN3D model; obtain suitable rheology and parameters withback analysis, reappear motion of Niumiangou rockslide-debris avalanchein two-dimension terrain and three-dimension topography. Additionally, analysis on distributions of velocity and deposit with the two models isalso done. The research work presented in this thesis was supported by Na-tional Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) with the grantednumber41272382.
