Atmospheric Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) can produce low temperature plasma.As the low temperature plasma used more widely, dielectric barrier discharge graduallybecome the subject of the plasma research focus.How to observation DBD become the keyof the discharge characteristics research.This paper developed a dielectric barrier dischargefiber row detection system, and used it to investigate tiny areas discharge in DBD of flatelectrode and silk screen electrode.Based on the optical fiber detection system, contrapose Dielectric Barrier Dischargelight signals,this paper designs an optical fiber row detection system. The system use specialuv ultraviolet light optical fiber and photomultiplier tubes (PMT),which are suitable fordetecting DBD discharging electricity weak signal special not only to realize detecting lightsignalsin the space of tiny region light signals of DBD, but also to synchronous collect andcompare different tiny region of light signals.From the experiment it shows the system havea fast response, small influence of interference and the reflected signals, multi-channelacquisition pathways can to response different light signal.It is able to distinguish dischargesignals and jamming signal effectively, and convert DBD weak discharge signals to electricalsignals then output Voltage amplifier signal to oscilloscope.It provides a new detectionapproach in the study of the characteristics of space and time in DBD.Dielectric barrier discharge space characteristics is still lack of more in-depththeoretical study. In this paper, with the optical row detection system, it studies the opticalcurrent waves of the screen electrode in DBD. Using three optical fibers to probe differentsizes of the screen and flat electrode in DBD. Experiment phenomenon as following: whenscreen size is big, discharge occurs along the silk screen,discharge has strongspace-consistency; Screen size is small, it no longer occur along the silk screen, dischargehas weak space-consistency; Screen electrode produces more uniform than flat electrode inDBD.
