With the development of science and technology, global satellite positioningtechnology has become increasingly extensive. The accuracy of global positioning systemis influenced by many factors, such as satellite ephemeris error, ionosphere refraction error,multi-path error, antenna phase center error and so on. In the high-precision positioningmeasurements, antenna phase center error must be taken into account. This thesis studiesand establishes the mathematical model of the impact of antenna phase center error onpositioning accuracy. By simulation, we give the quantitative relationship curves betweenantenna phase center error and the positioning accuracy and propose some suggestions andmethods to reduce the effects of antenna phase center error on the positioning accuracy.This thesis analyzes the principles of global positioning technology and various errorsources which influence the positioning accuracy. The thesis clarifies the concept ofantenna phase center error and introduces the basic mathematical model of the antennaphase center error by referencing to the relevant standard deviation. As the actual situation,the placement of the receiver antenna will have some errors, such as slope, the northidentification deflection, etc. This thesis also considers the situation and gives correctionmodel of the antenna phase center error.The thesis studies respectively the effects of antenna phase center error on absolutepositioning accuracy and relative positioning accuracy and gives the mathematical modelof relationship between them in theory according to the observation equations of absoluteand relative positioning.The thesis works on the simulation and verification for the theoretical model weproposed. Antenna phase center error data, the satellite ephemeris information and theposition of observation station are obtained from standard data of internationalorganizations that ensures the data source of simulation is correct. The simulation program gives the theoretical curve and the measured curve of the impact of antenna phase centererror on the positioning accuracy. The results show that the mathematical model this thesispresented can accurately reflect the effects of antenna phase center error on the positioningaccuracy.
