Based on a systematical description of regional geological setting and theore-forming geological features of Zhusileng region, Inner Mongolia, the paper hasmade further study on the1:50000geochemical characteristics, and abnormaldistribution and characteristics of1:50000stream sediment in this area. The favorableore-forming geological conditions in this area have been generally analysed. Besides,the paper has conducted analysis of and study on the typical deposits of ZhusilengHaierhan copper-gold deposit and Hulunxibai gold deposits and regional ore-formingrules. The obtaining results and achievements are as follows:1The strata development is complete and the structure activities are intense inZhusileng, Inner Mongolia of different ages. Two main structure zones composed ofnorthwest faults by Gurbanhuduge fault, Heishishan fault, Echenghei fault andYikewusu fault have dominated the structure pattern of the area.2In the stream sediments in Zhusileng area, it is enriched in elements of Au, Cu,As, Sb, Hg, Ba, Pb, especially in Au, Cu, Sb and Ba. The area is with goodgeochemical conditions for the formation of copper, gold, antimony and otherdeposits.3For the rocks in Zhusileng area, they are enriched in elements of Ba, Au, Sb, Pb,W, As, Ni, of Zn, Mo,, Hg Cu, and Ag in varying degrees. They are characterized bythe enrichment of Ba, Pb, Mo, As, Hg, Au, Ag, etc., especially of Ba, As, Sb and Au,which reflects the geochemical characteristics of being enriched in general traceelements and good conditions for ore-forming in the area.4The element supergene enrichment patterns in Zhusileng area are: Ba and Au,Sb, Pb, W, As, Ni, Zn, Mo, Hg, Cu, Ag and other elements have experiencedsupergene enrichment in varying degrees; the adopted stream sediment survey method,which can effectively rule out the influence of aeolian sand, has been verified in thearea, objectively reflecting the geochemical characteristics of this area.5Zhusileng area has delineated a total of161:50000stream sediment anomalies,including6grade-A anomalies,4grade-B, and the rest is grade-C. The abnormal spatial distribution is significantly affected by two main structure zones.6Through the analysis of the geological features of the area, the stream sedimentanomalies and the rock geochemistry characteristics of the main geological unit, theprospecting targets have been further narrowed, and two prospecting targets ofDaobuqingwusubei and Zhusileng Haierhan area have been suggested as the mainfuture work.
