Crosswell seismic exploration is a high precision and high resolution seismicexploration method, which shot and received in well and received3component seismic wavefield information, many-component records can provide more abundant elastic wavekinematic and dynamic information of seismic than each single component, Using thepolarization properties of seismic waves to study the wave field information provides anew application method for wave-field separation, tomography and fracture prediction.Based on the polarization analysis of3component seismic wave field, we analyzed andresearched the applied problem of polarization properties crosswell seismic data.First, Analysis the basic method of three component records of crosswell polarizationanalysis, including time-varying and invarying polarization analysis. Second, Using energycriterion respectively analysis method and covariance matrix method analysis of polarization,extracting the related parameters of the polarization to separate wave field and synthesis,polarization filtering and fracture forecast, has obtained a certain effect. Third, designprograme to archieve the extracting methods of several time-varing and invaryingpolarization attributes, by comparing and test result of theoretical data and practical data, weverified the applicability effectiveness of various methods.To summarize, traditional time-invaring3component analysis method could get goodresults in horizontal location. However, due to the polarization properties of seismic wave istime-shift, there are many problems in application of separation of P and SV wave in actualprocessing, it can’t separated the wave-field correctly. But time-varying polarization analysiscan get a good wave field separation and synthetic effect, In addition, the theoretical modeltest results show that, for small fault and a certain scale of fracture development withcharacter, polarization properties have a clear parameters anomalous change.
