In this paper, the study of parameters identification and anti-synchronization for theuncertain delayed chaotic systems is investigated. For a class of delayed chaotic systems,based on Lyapunov stability theory, combined with adaptive control method,it makesin-depth research in studying synchronization problem(including anti-synchronization, lagsynchronization, generalized synchronization etc.). And it is demonstrated by the numericalanalysis and circuit simulation.Firstly, we briefly describe the basic knowledge of chaotic synchronization and prospectsof development. Meanwhile, we explain the current status of delayed chaotic systems andsignificance of this research.Secondly, it is investigated the parameters identification and anti-synchronization for aclass of two identical uncertain delayed chaotic systems. On the basis of Lyapunov stabilitytheory, combined with adaptive control method and synchronization theory, selecting typicaldelayed chaotic system, the adaptive controllers with corresponding parameter update lawsare designed for two identical delayed chaotic systems to achieve the targetsynchronization(anti-synchronization, lag synchronization, generalized synchronization) andidentify the uncertain parameters effectively.Thirdly, it is discussed in detail about the synchronization problem of two differentdelayed systems with uncertain parameters, which not only the structure is different, eventhough they have different order. Theoretical proof and numerical simulations are provided toverify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method.Finally, the delayed chaotic system and technology of parameters identification areinvestigated for applications in secure communication. The system parameter is used as acarrier signal which the information signal is modulated in it. According to the designedsynchronization controller, as the synchronization is occurred, the system parameter isidentified, and then the information signal is recovered.
