This article comprehensively use the theory and method of petroleum geology, sequencestratigraphy, sedimentary petrology, well log geology and reservoir geology. On the basis oflogging data, combined with logging and core data, well testing and production test data, wemade researches of stratigraphic classification and correlation, sedimentary facies analysis, fine logging data interpretation, as well as, some studies about reservoir features of Chang8formation in Tiebiancheng area. The paper conclusion that Chang8belonged to deltasedimentary system, the provenance was from east north and mainly developed delta plain anddelta front subfacies. The sand body distribution controlled by sedimentary facies, Chang82,Chang812and Chang811have a good inheritance. Chang8formation was fine sandstone withfeldspathic litharenite and lithic feldspar sandstone, medium composition and maturity andgradation.,poor physical property, belonged to low porosity and low permeability reservoir.Based on “four properties”,a suit of reservoir parameter interpretation model which beapplieable in the study of reservoir geology within researching area, determined the reservoirnatural lower limit standard:The porosity is greater than6.5%,the penetration coefficient isgreater than0.1×10-3μm2;the electrical lower electronic resistivity is greater than40Ω·m,interval transit-time is greater than210us/m,using multi-factor evaluation to make acomprehensive reservoir evaluation, then select the favorable reservoir. We overally examine the sedimentary faeies, sand body distribution, physical charaeter, comprehensive reservoir evaluation and other factors, combined with the oil or gas enriehmentdistribution of the area. Select the favorable area for prospecting of Chang8formation. Theseabove provide evidenees for further exploration and exploitation.
