Ximawan-baiyushan area lies on middle part of Shanbei Slope in Ordos Basin.It is belongs to Suijin oil field. Ordos Basin is rich in oil and gas, which has bright prospect in exploration and development. According to the pro duct ional data and well data, the author does systematical and detailed research on Yan8,which has bright prospect in exploration. On the basis of Sequence stratigraphy, sedimentary petrology and logging geology, combed with rich static data from logging, core analysis and mud logging, the author provided correlation of strata and small layer partition, which divided Yan8group into2series which is Yan81and Yan82. According to the sedimentary color, grain size, sedimentary structure symbol, logging data and regional geological data to the area to Yan8, analyzed that study area belongs to delta facies depositional environment. The intrafacies is meandering river sedimentary environment. The sedimentary microfacies are distributary channel, natural levees and flood plain. On that basis, combined with the provenance analysis, the thesis studied the development and distribution of sedimentary microfacies. At the same time, Combined with the large number of assaying material and conventional petrophysical properties data, the author studied the characteristics of reservoir. Through the " relationship among the four characters " research. established a set of interpretation models of reservoir’s parameters and oil-water identification standards. And then carried out the second interpretation of logging data. On this basis, analysis of reservoir sand bodies and reservoir physical property.Based on the foundation of sedimentary facies, distribution of sand body, reservoir physical properties, log interpretation and well test oil etc. The author evaluated the classification of reservoir and rentiated the favorable reservoir area, then selected6potential areas, including I best potential areas,1better potential areas and4good potential, totaling prediction area16.3km2, predict reserves299.2tons. Suggest deployment6evaluation wells.
