During the process of TA15Laser Deposition Repaired parts, defects such as bad fusion,pores, cracks, uneven microstructure and inferior mechanical property are obviously found.Rotary permanent magnet electromagnetic stirring (PEMS) was introduced to the repairedsystem to reduce the defects and refine the grain size, improve the deposition quality and themechanical property of the repaired parts. The effect mechanism and influence laws of PEMSwere also important aims to study.The PEMS was designed and the electromagnetic stirrer magnetic field characteristicswere simulated by ANSYS. Then the suitable processing parameters for PEMS-assistedrepaired system were determined by test, and the effects of PEMS were studied by changingthe electromagnetic stirring magnetic field intensity and stirring speed.On the basis of the above work, the repair quality and mechanical properties of TA15repair parts have been studied. The microstructure was investigated and its mechanicalproperty was examined which included micro-hardness, tensile property, fatigue property andresidual stress.Results show that PEMS can not only restrain bad fusion,pores and cracks in TA15repaired parts, but also refine grains and improve microstructure and internal quality of theparts. It can also enhance micro-hardness, improve tensile and fatigue property of the partsand minish residual stress in the parts.
