The Xingfucun gold deposit is located in Baiyunebo-shangdu Rift Zone, the western part of the northern margin of the North China plate. The Baiyunebo group, ore-hosting strata in Xingfucun deposit, is composed of the metamorphic clastic rock, mudstone and carbonates rock. The phyllite in Bilute Formation of Baiyunebo group is the main material source for mineralization. Moreover, the schistosity is well developed in Bilute Formation, relatively soft, so it’s easy to form the interlaminar space, which provides favorable space for the mineralization. The acidic hydrothermal activities post-magmatism provided metallogenic fluid source and heat source. The deposit belongs to the mesothermal-epithermal gold deposit. Controlled by faults in EW direction, hot acidic magmatic hydrothermal transported to the E-W fissures, and in this process, the replacement took place between the hydrothermal fluid and metasomatic phyllite (rock),. Ore-forming materials including Au element activated, migrated and was enriched, which resulted in thin vein and lenticular gold orebodies. Thus gold-bearing veins are usually distributed in the hanging and foot wall of the dyke without gold mineralization. The tectonic alteration zone is extending in nearly E-W direction, and controlled the distribution of ore bodies. Gold ore bodies in the mine were of vein and lenticular-shape, with local swelling, shrinking,pinching out in both strike and dip. For the mineralization intensity, along the strike and dip of changing is obvious either in strike or dip.That the pyritization coexists with silicification,potassic (fine),and quartz vein is the most direct prospecting criteria. Such dykes as lamprophyre and granite aplite are of non-mineralization, but the rock on both sides of them are usually mineralized and altered, which can be used as indirect indicators for prospecting.
