In the last decade of the last century, the two-photon interference and imagingwith the entangled light attracted great interest because (since) their second-ordercorrelation characteristics gave rise to novel phenomena such as nonlocality andsub-wavelength interference, which are quite different from the classical interferenceand imaging. It was even suggested that the two-phone ghost interference and ghostimaging can only be obtained with the entangled light. However, it is found that thethermal light be able to simulate the entangled light and produce two-photoninterference and imaging. In the experiment of the two-photon interference, when onedetector was fixed and the other detector was scanned, a classical-like interferencepattern can be obtained in the coincidence count measurements. When both the twodetectors were scanned simultaneously in opposite transverse directions, thetwo-photon sub-wavelength interference can be observed. In fact, the coherent lightand the incoherent light are both the ideal light source models. The practical lightfield which is generally between completely coherent and completely incoherent ispartially coherent. The light source used in this paper to study the high order opticalintensity correlation is the partially coherent light. In this paper, we study ghost interference with partially coherent light sources. Icontrast the numerical simulation results of the two images of second-order ghostinterference with partially coherent light sources. I found that the visibility of ghostinterference fringes will improve as the increase ofσ I, and shows the interferencefringes clearly. The visibility of second-order ghost interference fringes are affectedby light source size. on the basis of second-order ghost interference of partiallycoherent light, realize third-order ghost interference theory of partially coherent light, and then study the lateral coherence. The numerical simulation results are eightinterference fringes,2D and3D images. In the same condition, I compared thethird-order ghost interference fringes and the second-order ghost interference fringes, and found that the visibility of third-order ghost interference fringes higher than that of second-order ghost interference fringes, and the visibility is enhanced as the orderN increases. The image of the third-order ghost interference fringes was more clearly.
