The mathematical process of the ISAR imaging and the steps of simulatingturntable target radar echo by using computational electromagnetics methods and FEKOsoftware are summarized, the ISAR imaging algorithm of stationary targets andmaneuvering targets is studied, and these theories are proved by some specificexamples.The steps of the imaging of the ideal point target are provided, and the steps arevalidated by the corresponding echo data, the methods of simulating rotating targetradar echo by using PO method and FDTD method and the steps of the rotating targetimaging are discussed; The concrete steps of rotating target imaging electromagneticsimulation by the FEKO software are given, and the maneuverability of using theFEKO software to simulate rotating object imaging by using computationalelectromagnetics methods is verified by the simple flat target imaging and complexplane target imaging by using the FEKO software; The functions of the lineartime-frequency distribution STFT and quadratic distribution WVD, PWVD, SPWVDCWD are discussed and verified with a superposition signal, maneuvering targets ISARimaging is realized by time-frequency analysis method and the perspective of theirrespective advantages and disadvantages in imaging resolution, the ability to controlcross-term and imaging processing time among the five time-frequency analysismethods are compared and the plane imaging result at different times is showed.
