As the technology of drilling, underground resources continue to beexploited. Currently, resources are mined in difficult conditions andterrain in the deeper layers. Such difficult conditions reduce drillingefficiency, reduce service life and even render useless the bit. Therefore,in such geological conditions cannot rely on conventional PDC bits.Therefore, an important issue in the field of drilling was to raiseproductivity of drill bits, increased mining in complex geologicalconditions.This article combines the technology of drilling and bionic theory asa basis, theory and technology of the design of PDC bits.Typical soil animals with non-smooth surface structure, haveproperties such as: adhesion, reduced resistance, high strength and wearresistance.First of all, in this article were analyzed and synthesized bionicsystems of animals. Among them are the typical soil animals mole,earthworms, dung beetle, etc. The non-smooth theory is basic for bionicsPDC bits.From past experience and based on the analysis of the structure ofbionic impregnated crowns, combined with smooth principles for modeldevelopment of bionic PDC bits, implemented the principles of bionicnon-smooth in the PDC bits. In this paper, the bionic experimental drilling PDC bits for stand.And an analysis and comparison of results with simple PDC bits. Thisstand can determine wear, friction, wear resistance and non-smoothsurface properties drill rocks.Drilling on the stand were made four bionic PDC bits for moreaccurate results.Finally, the article analyzed and studied the drilling process and themechanism of wear non-smooth surface. Concluded that the main reasonfor the increase drilling efficiency was non-smooth bionic bits structure,providing sharp diamonds and improves cooling. Proved that theimproved cooling of diamond structure is non-smooth and the mainreason for a long life drill bit.
