Queueing theory is a discipline that studies the laws in the system while queueing up (or congestion) due to the interference of random factors. Queueing phenomenon can be seen everywhere in the real world, such as in the communications, military, transportation, maintenance, production, service, inventory, health, education, irrigation and some other fields. Queueing phenomenon generally appears as discrete status, and there is no such a precise mathematical expression to fully representative of the laws. The research for queueing systems is mainly through simulation technology, today. Build a queueing model on the computer and simulate the process which includes the customer’s arrival, queueing, service and leaving one by one. Then using statistical methods to get operating parameters, and analyze the system’s overall performance. There is a phenomenon that customer arrival time interval subject to the normal distribution, such as some CNC machine failure interval, the interval of some industrial products manufactured, and so on. It is necessary to study the queueing system that the customer arrival time interval is to obey the normal distribution. The main research object of traditional queueing theory is based on the threaded queue. With the birth and development of networking concepts, deep research of queueing theory, the traditional queueing theory began to expand to network queueing theory. Compared with the traditional queue, queueing network is more uncertainty, complexity and universality. Each customer has no unified route after enters the system, randomly selects uncertain service station. Based on the above two points, this article will use Simulink of MATLAB to simulate a network queueing model that is based on the reality and the time interval is under the normal distribution. By analyzing the various parameters of the model, getting a general rule, the system can better allocate resources, reduce waiting time, improve efficiency, and thus to improve overall performance of it.
