The Liaozhong depression is one of the secondary tectonic units on the LiaodongBay Depression which located in the middle of the Liaodong Bay area. Liaozhongdepression has a high ability of hydrocarbon production, mainly developed in threehydrocarbon source rocks-Ed3, Es1, and Es3, and by now there are a wide range of oiland gas structures. As the limitations of the exploration data and the complexity of theregional geological conditions, depression in excellent source rock evaluation is only inits infancy.In this paper, having build the model between logging data and the TOC thatbased on the system of regional geological, used of regional sedimentary features,logging data and other information, by using of the normalized processing ΔlgR law, inaccordance with the Sedimentary faces which are divided into different zones, whichcan lay the foundation for Identifying and classifying excellent source rock. Byhydrocarbon source rock correlation and Analysis, established the standard of excellentsource rock in the study area, as TOC>2.0%to be the main reference parameters, andthen investigated the source rocks geochemical characteristics of the Liaozhongdepression by using of parametric analysis of the pyrolysis and kerogen microscopyanalysis, found that the source rocks are mainly type Ⅱ, and the three basic sourcerocks have been entered into Raw hydrocarbons threshold. Divided statistics and drawhorizons of the excellent source rock in flat maps, and then explored distributioncharacteristics of the excellent source rock in various source rocks layers, found thatexcellent source rock developed in the deep-lake or semi-deep-lake depositionalenvironment.Use genetic method to evaluation oil and gas resources in this paper when calculate the resource extent. Select the hydrocarbon yield quote thermal simulationcurve of Es3source rocks in Liaohe west depression to research characteristics ofhydrocarbon as the Liao Depression hydrocarbon rate curve; the hydrocarbonexpulsion coefficient determined by hydrocarbon potential, the expulsion coefficient ofthe three sets of hydrocarbon source rocks range from60%to80%; Use the geologicalanalogy method to make sure the clustering coefficient, select a higher degree ofexploration of the Yellow River Mouth Sag as an analogy depression, by integratingpetroleum geological conditions with Liaozhong depression to finalize the theLiaozhong depression clustering coefficient that is0.40. Then we can calculate theresource extent of excellent source rock in the Liaozhong depression from theseparameters, which is10.48×10~8T and58.8%to the whole resource extent. Finally,explore the role of excellent source rock in the hydrocarbon accumulation in two ways:the affect of early hydrocarbon generation and control action to subtle reservoirs byexcellent source rocks.
