The conventional oil and gas resources are exhausted and the demand for energy ofeconomic development is rising, which both force petroleum explorationists to explore newareas of oil and gas energy. In recent years, the successful exploitation of shale oil and gas inNorth America leads that the exploration and development of shale oil and gasresourcesgets more attention. Practice shows that the shale shale can not only be used assource rocks for hydrocarbon generation, but also act as a reservoir rock, which contains alarge number of oil and gas resources. At the same time, numerous studies show that Chinahas formed the geological conditions of unconventional oil and gas and possess huge reservesof resources. The exploration of shale oil and gas in Petro-chemical Enterprisehas successfully started.Biyang Depression is a rich oil generation sag, the geochemical research which is carriedout in Biyang Depression shows that it has the material basis for the formation of shaleoil. According to the "triple-division" relationship between TOC and oiliness, weidentify the grading evaluation criteria of shale oil resources and takeclassification evaluationto the shale oil resources of the study area. According to therelationship between TOC, S1,chloroform bitumen "A" and sound waves, neutron andresistivity logging curve, using ΔlogR method to establish the organic matter log responsemodel, take logging identification to theabundance of organic matter (TOC, chloroformbitumen "A", pyrolysis S1)of Eh3in Biyang depression, and study the development anddistribution of the shale. Through thecomparison of the pyrolysis data before and afterextraction and the chemical kineticsmethod, the loss part of the oil index (chloroformbitumen "A", S1) is recovery corrected.Too thick and too thin mud shale system is notconducive to the exploitation of shale oil, therefore, it is necessary to determine the criteria forthe classification of effective mud shale, and divide effective mud shale system. Usingvolume method, the resource quantity of the Upper Member of Eh3, Biyang Depression iscalculated. The results show that the shale oil resource quantity of the Upper Member of Eh3is496498million tons. Different levels of shale oil resources also show that Class Iresources and Class II resources are equal. Class I resources have a higher degree ofenrichment. Both resources significantly higher than Class III resources, accounted for mostof the proportion of the total amount of resources. Class III resources have a relatively smallcontribution. Establish the shale oil-rich segment identification standards, and identify shale oil resources enrichment (1.0to1.38million tons) parts. In summary, the shale oil of Eh3in Biyang Depression has slightly large resourcepotential, and the exploration and development of it has better prospects, so it should befavorable targets for exploration and development of shale oil.
