| Submarine pipeline play an important role in the offshore oil and gas production activities. Due to the special nature of its operating environment, the event of a spill, would not only affect production activities and can lead to pollution of the marine environment, its safety is widely attention.Factors for the offshore oil and gas pipeline failure is mainly divided into three categories:mechanical damage, corrosion damage, fatigue damage. In this paper, I will do some research about the mechanical damage of submarine pipeline impacted by dropped objects. Due to the mechanical behavior of the subsea pipeline collision damage and material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity and nonlinear contact is closely related to the submarine pipeline’s collision damage, to further reveal the laws of pipeline’s mechanical damage, solve the issue of the damaged pipeline’s safety assessment in the practical engineering, the article mainly studies the contact characteristics, evaluation methods of pipeline integrity, coating effect of pipeline under the action of impact load.To this end, the article intends to perform the collision numerical simulation and analysis of submarine pipeline from two aspects. Including:the study of pipeline’s mechanical damage’s influencing factors under the action of impact load and the parameter sensitivity analysis of mechanical damage. In this paper, the numerical simulation will give full consideration to the nonlinear factors of material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity and nonlinear contact. By developing the collision analysis model to obtain the influencing characteristic of the geometric parameters of pipeline, the shape of falling objects, the speed of falling objects, the mass of falling objects, as well as the preventive effect of the submarine pipeline coating, the buried depth of pipeline and other protective measures. Perform numerical simulation by finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Through the finite element analysis of submarine pipeline, ascertain the collision characteristics and to assess the safety of the submarine pipeline and the most important factor. The article lay a foundation for proposing the comprehensive quantitative assessment method of the collision damage to pipelines. |
