The Jurassic of Kebai area locates in the Kebai fracture zone of western uplift in JunggarBasin, the west is closed to Zaire Hill, The east is Mahu depression the Junggar Basin asmainly, the south is adjacent to Hongche fault zone, The north is WuXia fault zone. Theresearch work areas are nine district and Baikouquan District. Ke bai areas Jurassic have hugeexploration potential and are the one of the key exploration target of Junggar Basin. But theholistic and systemic of reservoir rock characteristics and sedimentological characteristics inthe study area are poor.there are also controversial on sedimentary micro-facies,sand body types, spatialdistribution and sequence division. This paper based on the former data and used acombination of seismic, logging data and so on, mainly researches on the strata of BadaowanFormation Jurassic the northern section of Kebai area of the northwest edge of Junggarbasin.Through the method of stratigraphy and sedimentology, analysis and study the mainfactors involved with warped lake formed and developed of the study area, and analysis thespace-time evolution of the work area depositional system.First,from the needs of the actual production of the oil field,employ the contrast of themarker bed and depositional cycles, divide Badaowan Formation from top to bottom into foursections, are J1b1、J1b2+3、J1b4、J1b5.Finish eight stratigraphic correlation profile,twelve singlewell analysis,and lay a good foundation for further study.Second, integrate the characteristic of components, compositional maturity andstructural maturity, heavy mineral distribution characteristics, the stratigraphic thickness, thepercentile content of the sandy conglomerate and so on of the reservoir rock, carry on theanalysis of the provenance of the target layer,come to know that the northwest of Hala’alatHill is the source area of Jurassic Badaowan Formation Kebai area. And the provenancedirection is from northwest to southeast to south.Furthermore, through the description of core observation, the comprehensive analysis of particle size data cutting logging data, logging curve and seismic characteristics, determinesedimentary facies types of the target layers. Study area Baikouquan area Jurassic mainlydevelops alluvial fan, the Nine districts mainly developed braided river delta facies. Thedepositional systems of the whole work area is alluvial fan-braided river delta-lake faciesand build sedimentary facies model and analysis the characteristics of micro-facies and therelationships between oil and gas.Finally, under the control of sequence stratigraphic framework, through the single welldeposition, multi-well profile sedimentary facies analysis, under the premise of backgroundand evolution of the lake basin, work out the sedimentary facies plans of each small layers,on the basis of the space-time evolution of the deposition system, clear the distributioncharacteristics of sand body of small layers, and guide the deploy of the reservoir rollingdevelopment and scroll expansion in Badaowan Formation Kebai area.
