In the beginning of last century, people discovered contact electrification of identical particles. Especially in this century, contact electrification due to collisions widely concerned by researchers, which is considered to be one of the main mechanisms of contact electrification. However, the main influencing factors of contact electrification due to collisions is not quite clear, so we conduct out studies on the effect of a few influencing factors on the electrification due to collisions, including:Firstly, we carry out the experimental study on contact electrification due to two identical spheres collision at the different impact velocities and with different sizes in pure nitrogen environment. Then we analyze the charges carried by eight different plastics spheres collisions. A collision electrification sequence for plastic materials is presented. By correlation of material mass density to the charge, we found that the former is highly correlated to the latter.Secondly, we calculated the rebound angle by identify dropping ball trajectory from the video of the collision process and obtained the normal velocity and tangential velocity components during the collision, and results show that the tangential velocity and the normal velocity have a different effect on the charge. For the elastic collision, if the consultant velocity is given, the more the tangential velocity is, the higher the amount of charge is. By the scanning of collision surface impacted by the dropping sphere, it shows that contact electrification due to collisions significantly reduced after the plastic deformation. The charge quantity linearly increased with the increase of tangential velocity in the elastic range while other conditions is constant, and linearly decreases with the increases of normal velocity, it reveals that the positive pressure and tangential friction have different contribution to the collision charges. We also carry out the experimental study on contact electrification duo to glasses ball-plate collision with different size and different inclination of plate. The results show the same law when analysis the influence of positive pressure and friction on the carried charges. So we can summary that the friction during the oblique collision has a significant effect on the collision charge.
