Eddy Current Testing (Eddy Current Testing, ET) based on the principle ofelectromagnetic induction is a routine non-destructive testing methods. Its basicprinciple can be described as: when carrying alternating current near the conductorsample test coils, the coil produced by the alternating magnetic field in the sense ofbirth in the eddy current conductor. Eddy size, phase and mobile forms of performanceand whether the specimen by the impact of defects, and the reaction of the magneticfield and the eddy current coil impedance changes. Thus, by measuring the test coilimpedance changes can be inferred to be seized, and specimens change in performanceof flawed conclusions. In practical engineering principles can be solved using eddycurrent testing of metal materials, thickness, separation and other issues, this technologyis widely used in aviation, aerospace, machinery, automobile, petrochemical and boilerand pressure vessel industries.Typically, in the use of conventional non-destructive testing techniques fordetecting space is limited for inspection equipment for testing, the detection methodsare based on the demolition. Aircraft engine compressor blades are an importantcomponent of the blade to be removed non-destructive testing is usually carried out notonly a waste of time, but also easy because the human damage caused by improperdisassembly. Thus, the implementation of the compressor blades in situ non-destructivetesting techniques to a very important significance. Since eddy current testing has nocontact with the workpiece during the examination without use of coupling medium, onthe surface or near surface defects, a high detection sensitivity, defects of different sizescan be evaluated; probe can be extended to the distance people, narrow region of theworkpiece can be detected; detection signal to electrical signals, the test results easy todigitize, automated testing, etc., in various industrial sectors in the non-destructivetesting of conductive material has been widely used. Compressor blades for thealuminum/titanium alloy conductive material, it can explore the use of eddy currenttesting to the implementation of in situ non-destructive testing space compressor.Paper based on the structure of compressor blades, shape and other design a set ofin situ eddy current testing program, the main work, including sample processing, equipment improvement, development of specific probes on the leaves with artificialdefects, such as testing specimen, test results show that the available Without thepremise of leaf removal, fast, convenient and effective to detect the damage status ofleaves to ensure the safe operation of equipment for eddy current testing in situ leafprovides a reference for practical applications, is expected to have good prospects forpractical applications.
