The process of mining face in Qing Shui-ying Coal Mine, maintaining the coal pillarsstability which is between the goaf and auxiliary transport roadway, reduce the loss of coalresources and guarantee the auxiliary transport lane to better serve other working face. Thistext studies the stability of coal pillars in different widths by field investigation auxiliarytransport lane and measured roadway stability, analysis by the mechanical theory, numericalsimulation and similar simulation.The results show: on both sides of the limit equilibrium area widthand the critical size of the central elastic region are the sum of the width of the coal pillars, coal pillar as awhole the critical size of the main factors, including Seam dip, pillar strength, overlying the aquiferinfluence on both sides of the limit equilibrium area width and the critical size of the central elasticregion;There is a certain width of the elastic nuclear part to improve the coal pillars supportingroadway effect in coal pillars,so determining the appropriate width of coal pillars must ensure that thescope of the expansion of the plastic zone can not form a connected region within the coal pillar.When thecoal pillar width greater than15m,coal pillars more wide,the not undermine range more large,longitudinal failure height more lower,so coal pillars is more stable; Width of coal pillars inthe range of10~20m, With the increase in the width of the coal pillar, Significantly lowerdegree of stress concentration, the plastic zone of auxiliary transport roadway expansiongradually decreases,surrounding rock displacement rapidly reduce and displacement hasslowed,so improve the roadway stability.Integrated all aspects of test results, the coal pillarswere identified as13~16m that between the auxiliary transport roadway and goaf, makes coalpillar stability and roadway deformation is small,able to meet the impact of the mining face ofthe section and to ensure the stable the next section of the roadway.
