China rural water environment deterioration has been quite serious, water shortagecaused by water quality deterioration, has been posed a serious threat to the rural peopleliving water. Large-scale construction and development of decentralized wastewatertreatment works of rural area is a general trend.The article based on the decentralized wastewater treatment project of Shangwangvillage to carry out a series studies: a detailed investigation and study of Shangwangvillage’ domestic sewage, which is almost farm restaurants wastewater; a long-termmonitoring about the pollutant indexs of the above sewage treatment project; summaryand analyse a series problems about the first phase of the project of various stages ondesign, construction and operation; proposed the second phase expansion plan on thebasis of the analysis and completed five expansion treatment process projects designsuch as anaerobic baffled reactor pool. The effluent of the decentralized wastewaterdemonstration project estimate could strictly get the discharge sencond standard ofpollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant. For the problem of poorphosphorus removal during the monitoring about first phase of the project andcombined with good adsorption characteristics of the industrial waste Red mud, thearticle has carried on the new wetland fillers granulation research and adsorptionproperties study, aims to develop a new kind of high efficient, inexpensive andphosphorus adsorption fillers, and finally to fulfil " using waste to treat waste "objective. The results are as follows:1. The decentralized wastewater treatment project of Shangwang village have a certain effect on sewage in one year monitoring cycle, COD、animal and plant oildegradation effect is obvious, the average removal rate passed40%; but nitrogen,phosphorus removal effect is not ideal, the removal rates were an average of13.5%,26.2%respectively. The effluent of the project can basically get the discharge sencondstandard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant in whole year except thetourist season, this decentralized wastewater treatment technology is suitable for ourcountry or rural areas;2. The first phase of the wastewater treatment project effect was not reach to theexpection mainly due to the following question: sewage piping system is not perfect,lack effective pretreatment facility, artificial wetland area is insufficient, constructionquality was poor, no effective operation and management mechanism etc. In the secondphase of the project and other similar design should be paid more attention inpretreatment facilities strengthen design and develop good operation and managementmechanism;3. The method according to the clay ceramsite granulation method after a certainimprovement is suit for both the red mud granulation. Granulation process includes rawmaterial treatment, mix material in a certain ratio, mix with water, granulating,preheating and cooling, wherein the ratio of raw materials and baking system is the keyof granular red mud performance. Bayer red mud has good plasticity formingperformance and a wide baking temperature range, and it is more suitable for theindustrial preparation of artificial wetland filler than clinker red mud;4. Preparation of new wetland adsorbent fillers required two kinds of red mud inthe raw material, the mixture ratio should be controlled within60%~75%. Two kindsof red mud granulating formula shall both include components are: activation agent,pore agent, solvent component, silicon aluminum regulators. The preparation useclinker red mud also need join the sodium silicate binder. In the preparation ofgranulating roasting process of two kinds of red mud, the appropriate preheattemperature is600℃, the preheating time should be controlled in30min. Bayer redmud calcination temperature should be in1060~1120℃, clinker red mud calcinationtemperature should be strictly controlled at1060~1100℃, the best roasting time bothare20min; 5. The phosphorus removal effects of new constructed wetland filler have certainproportional relation with its water absorption, porosity and also associate with the redmud in the formula levels. Through the research, we selected two formulations whichare use bayer and clinker red mud as raw material respectively: The optimal phosphorusadsorption capacity of bayer red mud preparation filler is2.17mg/g, the optimalphosphorus adsorption capacity clinker red mud preparation filler is2.76mg/g, based onthe use intensity, the two fillers both are retained most of the phosphorus removalcapability of raw red mud;6. The original state of bayer red mud equilibrium adsorption time of phosphate isabout420min at20℃, equilibrium adsorption capacity is5.38mg/g. Bayer red mudphosphate adsorption characteristic obey both the pseudo-first and second order kineticmodel, correlation coefficients were0.946and0.971respectively, the pseudo-secondorder kinetic model can better describe the adsorption behavior;7. The original states of bayer red mud phosphate adsorption effect is greatlyaffected by the pH value of the solution and the two related inversely; aqueous solutionof other coexisting ions on the adsorption behavior of Bayer red mud has a differenteffect: SO42-and NO3-have little effect on the phosphate adsorption of bayer red mud;Cl-and HCO3-have certain negative effects to the phosphate adsorption behavior.
