The value of ecosystem services function is an important part of what support lifeon Earth, and the basic elements of the socio-economic development and environmentalsustainability. The value of ecological service function is a quantitative estimation toecosystem, not only the quantitative evaluation of the ecological systems from aneconomic point of view, Also can cause the whole society make great attention to theecological environment construction, so as to achieve the effects to enhance ourenvironmental awareness education, meanwhile it will eventually be integrated intosociety and market economy, the establishment of a green GDP accounting system andit is also a necessary precondition for the ecological environment construction to make acompensation policy.This study, based on RS and GIS technology, the estimates of NPP, selecting thefive functions of the production of organic substances, water conservation, fixed carbondioxide and release oxygen, nutrient cycle, soil and water conservation as a ecosystemservices value evaluation index of the Sanxia reservoir area of Chongqing city,andusing eight vegetation types to make a quantitative evaluation to the ecosystem servicesfunction of Sanxia Reservoir area in Chongqing. The main conclusions are:1、Based on NDVI vegetation NPP estimates, the value of Chongqing SanxiaReservoir segment vegetation NPP is from184.8gC m(-2)to515.548gC m(-2). From atime series point of view, the change of NPP in each unit area is showing a fluctuationsdownward trend, seasonal changes in the summer> spring> autumn> winter.2、The space distribution features of ecosystem service is: where from the DabaMountain in Wuxi County, Wushan County and the Southeastern in Fengjie County,Shizhu County, Wulong County to the Zhong County, Fuling District, and the large areaof the main city have showing a decreasing trend.3、based on the NPP and all kinds of statistics on the estimates of the value of theeight categories of ecosystem functions. The composition of the value of ecosystem services is:(1) from the type of land use, the rate of land use types from largest tosmallest contribution to the value of each unit area followed the order: Due to the highleaf area index, which increase the absorption and photosynthesis of the magnitude ofvalue creation to the broad-leaved forest vegetation, then they can make a maximumservice value per unit area of5.07*10~5yuan/km~2; followed by shrub and shrub (5.26*10~5yuan/km~2), meadow (5.1810~5yuan/km~2), coniferous forest (5.07*10~5yuan/km~2), arable land (4.81*10~5yuan/km~2), economic forest (4.79*10~5yuan/km~2),aquatic vegetation (4,62*10~5yuan/km~2), waters (4.58*10~5yuan/km~2);(2)From thevarious ecosystem services between1998to2007, the total service value decreasingsequence are: the value of the organic material production service function is about64.78billion yuan, accounting for28%of the value of the entire ecosystem services;gas regulation services,6.322billion yuan, accounting for27%of the value of the entireecosystem services, these two aspects contribute most. Followed by soil and waterconservation service functions, value of about4.295billion yuan accounting for19%ofthe value of ecosystem services; water conservation is about3.644billion yuan,accounting for16%; the lowest nutrient recycling service functions, valued atapproximately2.297billion yuan, representing approximately10%.(3)Analysis fromthe time series of ecosystem services, from2007to1998, the total value of ecosystemservices from high to low are:2005(27.851billion yuan),1998(27.177billion yuan),2003(25.564billion yuan),2000(24.56billion yuan),1999(22.675billion yuan),2007(22.571billion yuan),2004(22.288billion yuan),2002(21.518billion yuan),2001(18.687billion yuan),2006(174.58billion yuan), while in2000,2003,2005the threepeak years of the next year will be a valley, the highest value in a decade in2005, andthe next year in2006, the minimum value.
