With the development of technology and deepening of globalization, the regionaldivision of market is fading and requirements for products quality and services arebecoming stricter. The competition for market and customers resources turns to beintense. In the field of oil&gas exploration&development, it is certain that the marketof perforating and well completion shall be totally opened and foreign companies willenter. The capability of providing perforating and well completion services is directlydetermined by the quality of perforating materials. The penetration depth andpenetration stability are the key factors for evaluating the quality of perforatingequipment. To improve these two indexes, many companies have spent lots of energy onresearches, analysis and management. But these efforts are all partial, independent andaimed, instead of based on the systematic study on the designing, technology, manufacturing and examination of perforating charges. Thus the penetration stability isstill at a relatively low level, though the penetration depth has been improved obviously. The perforating equipment of China is still not qualified enough to compare with that ofother countries whose technology is of the first class. This work will discuss the ways of utilizing “6σ” method and combining it withcompany’s practical situation to improve the penetration depth and stability byanalyzing specific cases. The main contents of researches are as follows:First, studying the basic theory and managing principles of “6σ” method from theaspect of statistics and administration, comparing “6σ” method with other managingtheories and methods.Second, analyzing and studying the charge manufacturing and examination of XCompany on the basis of “6σ” method, proposing the strategies to improve thepenetration stability.Third, on the basis of specific analysis, this work discusses the applying procedureof “6σ” method on improving the penetration stability of “X” type charge manufacturedby A Company. This study can provide clues for A Company to improve the penetrationstability of charges of other types.
