Sequencing Batch Reactor Activated Sludge Process (SBR) has the advantage ofsimple process, low infrastructure cost, low operating cost, and higher automation, so itis suitable for the urban wastewater treatment presently. The reaction process in SBRmethod is the most important process, and in the process, the growth of microorganismand the degradation of pollutants depend on the dissolved oxygen (DO) in aerationtank, and the control of DO directly affects the output water quality and energyconsumption. Therefore, the paper took DO as the controlled object, designed a kind ofintelligent controller based on Human-Simulated Intelligent Control (HSIC) theroy,and aimed at the problem of parameters optimization for HSIC controller, proposed animproved particle swarm optimization (PSO), and completed the simulation control forthe designed controllers under the MATLAB environment, the simulation results showthat the designed HSIC controllers has a better control effect. The following work hasbeen completed in this paper.①Analyzed the SBR wastewater treatment process, built a mathematicalmodeling for the wastewater treatment system, and by means of simulation for themathematical modeling confirmed the effectiveness to the controlled object for DO.②Introduced the theory of Human-Simulated Intelligent Control, based on theprototype algorithm, analyzed some intelligence attribute for HSIC, and discussed thedesign process for human-simulated intelligent controller.③Introduced the theory of particle swarm algorithm (PSO), and in refer to thecharacteristics of the operating factors in Genetic Alogrithm (GA), proposed animproved algorithm of PSO, and verified the superiority of the improved algorithm bystandard function simulation test.④Aimed at the problem that the traditional PID control is not better for nonlinearand strong coupling control system, designed a kind of improved PID controller and aimproved HSIC controller, and optimized the parameter for the designed controllerwith the improved PSO algorithm.⑤Under the environment of MATLAB, carried on a simulation comparisonbetween the HSIC controller and the improved PID controller. The simulation resultsshow that the designed human-simulated intelligent controller has better control quality,and verifies that it could ensure the output water quality, and realize energy saving for the aeration system.
