Application Research On Modular Design Of Storage Furniture For Partition Office System

Nowadays，more and more people concern about the interaction between users and officefurniture system. It’s the important indicator of the office lifestyle, and the innovative design ofstorage furniture for partition system is based on this. In order to make the office furniture fitsthe needs of different professions, the best way is the constant technological innovation,especially the furniture structural modularization, which is also the source of this research.Through the large amounts of data, site visits and survey questionnaire, this paper studiedthe structural modularization of storage furniture for partition office system by applying theprinciples and methods of modularization. Finally, the paper put the module library into practicethrough Delphi. Overall, the final results and conclusions are as below:(1)Through the site visits and market research, the paper finished the advantages anddisadvantages between panel office cabinets and steel office cabinets. And then determined thedesign direction of the product-metal frame combined with panel cabinet.(2)The survey identified six problems that obstructed people: file management, publicspace, green and color, noise and smoking, power supply and network and lack of work-space.Through the interview questionnaire, the users were divided into five categories: Runner, Sitter,Walker, Pointer and Thinker, then draw the tabulation about needs of people in each categoryand the appropriate configuration of partition system.(3)The core of the modular design of storage furniture for partition office system wasfunctional analysis. The modular system was disassembled through the system engineeringmethods. The paper determined the basic modules, installed modules, special modules,adaptation modules and uncertainty modules, besides, established module library. Finally, thepaper draw the structure of modules, and the binding mode between the modules.(4)The paper designed the flow chart of the client platform modular library, then compiledprogram through Delphi, ultimately it achieved the operation of the modular library. Theprogram could be enhanced the marketing and sales, then did the best to satisfy customers’needs.
