Phytoplankton generally shows the different community structures anddistribution features in the waterbodies with various quality. Therefore, the relatedresearches on phytoplankton have significant guiding roles on monitoring waterquality and protecting water environment. This research focused on the cleanlandscape waterbody in Changguangxi Wetland Park of Wuxi. Ten sites along thelake bank were sampled and grouped into three types in the light of the waterenvironment. We surveyed and analyzed the spatial and temporal change ofphytoplankton and water quality from September2009to August2010. We alsoanalyzed the relationships between water-quality indices, lake-bank factors andphytoplankton diversity indices. The conclusions were shown as follows:Total of8phyla and202species were identified, among which Chorophyta has71species, Chrysophytax64, Cyanophyta26and others41respectively. Thecommunity and abundance of phytoplankton in Changguangxi Wetland Park showedan obvious seasonal variation. The dominant species were Oscillatoia formosa andMicrocystis flos-aquae in autumn; Navicula cryptocephala and Navicula exigua inwinter; Fragilaria.intermididia and Synedra ulna in spring and Oscillatoriasimplicissima and Anabaena oscillarioide in summer. The temporal distribution ofabundance showed a pattern of summer>autumn>spring>winter; the diversityindices showed spring>autumn≈winter≈summer and the evenness indices showedspring>winter>autumn>summer. All phytoplankton indices were different amongthree groups of samples. The results of the physicochemical indices and the relations with phytoplanktonwere as follows.(1) The temperature influenced the abundance in spring and summer.(2) The pH influenced the abundance in summer and autumn.(3) The spcondinfluencd the phytoplankton species and abundance in winter.(4) OPR influenced thephytoplankton abundance in spring and summer while influenced the evenness anddiversity in winter.(5) TP influenced the phytoplankton species in spring and autumnwhile the evenness in winter.(6) TN influenced the phytoplankton species andabundance in winter.(7) NO3-N influenced the phytoplankton abundance in spring.(8) NH3-H influenced the phytoplankton abundance in spring, the phytoplankton speciesin winter and summer.(9) OC influenced the phytoplankton in autumn, winter andsummer.Conclusively, the environment of the locations can influence phytoplankton andthe related factors are changeable.
