Basic Ionic Liquid Catalysts For Synthesis Of Dialkyl Carbonate

Ionic liquids have been widely used in many fields such as electrochemistry, organicsynthesis, catalyst and separation and other areas owing to its highly conductivity, wideelectrochemical widow, neglectable vapor tension and amenable to diverse solutes, porperviscosity. Recently, almost of reserchs are focus on acidic Ionic liquid. Under mild conditions,the catalytic synthesis from transesterification of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and alcohol overalkaline ionic liquid had been studied. And mainly contents including three parts as follows:(1)The catalytic synthesis from transesterification of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) andpropyl alcohol (n-PrOH) over alkaline ionic liquid [bmIm]Im had been studied. Resultsshowed that [bmIm]Im exhibited high activity, and when reaction time was4h, catalystdosage was2.0%, n(DMC):n(n-PrOH) was1:4, the DPC yield up to50.6%. After the alkalineionic liquid [bmIm]Im was used5times repeatedly and the catalytic activity still remained.(2)The catalytic synthesis from transesterification of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) andbutyl alcohol (n-BuOH) over alkaline ionic liquid[bmIm]OH had been studied. Resultsshowed that [bmIm]OH exhibited high activity, and when100oC, reaction time was2h,catalyst dosage was3.0%, n(DMC):n(n-BuOH) was1:3, the DBC yield up to55.41%. Thealkaline ionic liquids [bmIm]OH was used5times repeatedly and still had a high activity.(3) The catalytic synthesis from transesterification of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) andn-pentanol (n-PeOH) over alkaline ionic liquid [bmIm]OH, as well as the optimal reactionconditions, had been studied. Results showed that [bmIm]OH exhibited high activity andwhen reaction temperature was100oC, reaction time was4h, catalyst dosage was2.0%,n(DMC):n(n-PeOH) was1:4, the DPC yield up to75%. After the alkaline ionic liquid[bmIm]OH was used5times repeatedly and the catalytic activity still remained.
